We announce the Call for Papers for 8th EIMAD - Internacional Meeting of Research in Music, Art and Design, organized by the School of Applied Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, Portugal.
EIMAD is intended to be a space for discussion about Design, Music and Other topics or intersection areas. EIMAD is a double-blind peer review congress and aims at original papers / posters presentation, from professors, students or other researchers from the academic community or from the business sector.

Deadline for Paper Submission: Up to February 27 2022

Notification: March 27, 2022

Final Deadline for Receipt of Accepted Papers: April 15, 2022

TYPOLOGIES AND SUBMISSION RULES
Long Papers (in English)
The submission of long papers is done through Springer’s OCS – Free Online Conference Service.
Articles must have a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 18 pages (1 page equals 450 words).
It is mandatory that long articles are submitted in English, respecting the APA 7th edition standard and other rules provided in the formatting template: Springer Paper Template.
At the time of submission, the long article should not contain components that allow the identification of the author(s). Authors are identified on Springer’s OCS platform and in the final version of the paper, accepted and revised.
Approved long papers will be published if the authors register with the 8th EIMAD and make the oral communication.
The publication takes place in Springer’s book Advances in Design, Music and Arts II: 8th Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design, EIMAD 2022, July 07-09, 2022.

Short papers (in Portuguese or Spanish)

Submission of short papers should be done electronically through the Easy Chair online submission system.
Articles must have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 pages (1 page equals 450 words).
Short articles should be written in Portuguese or Spanish, respecting the APA 7th edition standard and other rules provided in the format: Short Paper Template.
At the time of submission, the short article should not contain components that allow the identification of the author (s). The authors’ identity is made in the easy chair platform and in the final version of the article, accepted and reviewed.
Short papers, which are approved, will be published if the authors register in the 8th EIMAD and make the oral communication.
The publication takes place in the book “Research and Teaching in Design and Music” Vol. III, from the Convergences Research Books Collection, IPCB Editions.

Posters (in English, Portuguese or Spanish)
Project posters (academic and / or professional) must be submitted electronically through the Easy Chair online submission system.
Posters should be written in one of the official languages of the event (Portuguese, English and Spanish), containing Abstract (up to 200 words), respecting the formatting of the template provided for this purpose: Template Poster.
Approved posters will be presented during EIMAD and may be on display for one month.
Posters may not contain the identification of the author at the time of submission, but only when submitting the accepted and revised final file.
Accepted posters must be sent in a timely manner by mail.
Posters that do not arrive one week prior to the date of EIMAD will not be posted.
The EIMAD organization ensures the printing of posters of the authors who request it and assures printing costs.
