A new DRS governance structure came into effect in January 2020. The DRS is now managed by an International Advisory Council (IAC) and an Executive Board, which replace the former DRS Council. The IAC and Executive Board work with the DRS President and are supported by the DRS Administration team.
The IAC is the main advisory body within the DRS. IAC members help develop policy, work on specific projects, and enhance the range of activities offered by the DRS. The IAC works with a 5-person Executive Board formed from IAC members. The Executive Board manages the week-to-week working of the Society and consists of Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and one other member.
