The Design Studies Program is positioned within the Department of Media Arts, Design and Technology at the College of Design at North Carolina State University, with allied academic departments of Graphic and Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture, and the School of Architecture. Students and faculty in Design Studies seek opportunities and challenge the status quo through design thinking, research, writing, and work on local and global issues that require innovative propositional thinking.
The Design Studies program in the Media Arts Design and Technology (MADTech) Department is a nationally recognized program known for its innovation, interdisciplinary research and broad-based professional design education.
