Call for Participation: Eat - The Biotopia Festival, Munich, Germany

The Festival explores food in all its innumerable dimensions in an equally delicious and thoughtful way. It brings together leading scientists, artists, designers, chefs, experts and innovators at the breathtaking Nymphenburg Palace and explores the food of the future in a series on eclectic and engaging events for all ages. 

By looking at the topic from a variety of perspectives, BIOTOPIA aims to initiate an inspiring, interdisciplinary and positively challenging dialogue; a dialogue that promotes curiosity, captivates visitors, creates new perspectives, empowers empathy and fosters an open exchange about the future of our diet, agriculture, food and taste. 

EAT marks the beginning of a series of annual three-day festivals that precede the opening of the future BIOTOPIA Museum. Each festival will focus on behaviors, activities and processes such as feeling, sleeping or communicating.

Call for participation

BIOTOPIA is looking for and discusses the topics on food and eating in surprising and unusual ways from the intersection of (bio-) sciences, art / design and culinary arts.

Maximum budget available for smaller scale projects is 5,000 euros. A small number of larger scale installations may be up to a maximum of $ 10,000.
