The Research Notes series is expanding again!
Over the coming months we aim to elicit and help develop the next generation of Research Notes, dealing with quality related issues in studies of designing. These issues span research methods, literature review, theory development, design methodology, ethics, and research scholarship more generally (this list is not exhaustive).
We will organize a ‘paper development’ workshop to help you develop your contribution and realize your idea. This workshop is aimed to help you develop the best quality paper for submission and support you in delivering a timely and impactful Research Note. The event will also connect you with other design researchers working on quality-related issues, providing a platform for ongoing discussion and dialogue. It might even provide the opportunity to identify potential collaborators for a new Research Note idea!

1st of October : Submission of 1 page paper proposal to philip.cash@northumbria.ac.uk
1st of November : Decision on proposals, and feedback for those accepted for the workshop. Decisions will be based on fit to the Research Notes theme as outlined on the Design Studies website and elaborated in the Editorial: Design Research Notes.
1st of February : Submission of draft paper for the workshop
1st of March : Paper development workshop including editorial and peer review feedback
1st of May : Submission of full papers to the journal
