The Design Research Society is the multi-disciplinary learned society for the design research community worldwide. To enter the site please choose a path below that is most suitable to your needs:

- The public content on this site includes pointers to design research resources, and news about DRS, its publications and events. For some of the publicly accessible content you may have to register for free.

- Aside from the public content, there is also an area with enhanced content which may only be accessed by members who can login on this page to access the whole site.

Joining is easy! Just register, log-in and enter your details and then use a credit card to pay for your annual membership.

You can register using the left hand menu making sure you enter your correct e-mail address. Note your username and password. You will be sent a confirmation email and when you respond to this email your registration will be activated. This will give you access to some of the free registered content of the site.

To become a member of DRS, use your username and password to log in and you will see a menu item 'New DRS membership'. Follow the prompts to pay your membership fees. The payments use the secure PayPal system. You will need a credit card or a debit card in order to make payments using the option "No PayPal account - Pay securely using your credit card." Once you have completed the signup process, you will receive an emailed acknowledgement from PayPal that payment has been made. Payments are recurrent. That is, your membership fee will be charged each year unless you contact us. If you contact us to stop the membership payment we will immediately cancel it. How do we communicate with you?

We will e-mail you from time to time with updates and further information. It is important that you keep your email address on the members' database up to date at all times, as this is the primary means by which we communicate.

DRS has changed the way members access the website to enable the society to improve services to members. New members will now pay subscriptions by PayPal. There is no change for existing members whose subscription is paid through WorldPay.
