Past Events

DRS organises and promotes design research events around the world, often in collaboration with other professional bodies with similar research interests.

Some events are major peer reviewed conferences, usually with published proceedings which are often archived here. There will be a link to the main DRS archive, or to a publisher's site.

Other events supported by the DRS may be one-day symposia, non peer reviewed conferences, and promotional events perhaps in a particular region. There are sometimes links to external websites carrying details of these events.

The 2007 IASDR Conference Emerging Trends in Design Research was held at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The conference website is at http://www.sd.polyu.edu.hk/iasdr/. IASDR is an international umbrella organisation of five design research societies, including DRS.

The 2006 DRS Conference was Wonderground held at IADE, Lisbon, Portugal. The conference website is at http://www.iade.pt/drs2006/index.html.
