Become a Student Member

Student Membership of the Design Research Society offers an introduction to the activities of the Society and its global network of leading figures in the design research community. You may join at any time during the year.

There is a reduced fee of £30 for up to 3 years DRS Student Membership – equivalent to a £60 saving on the standard rate!

Following completion of your study, you will be invited to apply for full membership of the Society.

• a means of identifying and contacting other members through our database of members' interests
• an opportunity to contribute to the international design research community.

Criteria

To be eligible for DRS Student Membership, you should be:

- studying in further or higher education and outside full time paid employment

- interested in research related to design, or research-based design practice.

How do you apply?

STEP ONE – register on the DRS website (www.designresearchsociety.org). This will ensure your details are on the DRS database and we will be able to activate your Student Membership once your application has been approved.

STEP TWO – complete the form from this download link and forward it to an Official at your institution who can confirm your student status. They will then e-mail the form to the DRS Administrator ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

STEP THREE – we will send you an electronic invoice from PayPal, our online payment system. Once payment has been received you will receive your login details and your Student Membership begins.
