The Design Research Society Annual General Meeting will take place at 11 am on Tuesday 11th September 2012 in room TA049 and the Design Exhibition Centre, Tower A, Brunel University, Uxbridge (see directions http://www.brunel.ac.uk/about/campus/directions). The meeting will be followed by lunch and a Symposium 'Design Research: Impact, Assessment, and Future Directions'.

The symposium is focused on the assessment of design research in terms of its impact on society. Experts from the UK's Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) panels of Engineering Design and Art and Design will make presentations and join discussions. The Design Council will talk about their recent research on future directions of design research.

Registration fees are £40 for DRS members and £50 for non-members.The symposium is open to all. The symposium will be preceded by the DRS AGM (DRS paid-up members only) and lunch (DRS members and non-members). Lunch is included in the registration fee for both DRS members and non-members.
