Honorary Fellows may from time to time be appointed by DRS. There is no application process, appointment is by invitation only. Appointees are regarded as being of high standing as a design researcher, having made a significant and sustained contribution to the objectives of the Society. Appointees normally will be Fellows of DRS, but both members and, exceptionally, non-members of the Society may be nominated. Appointment to Honorary Fellow will also automatically accompany the conferment of a DRS Lifetime Achievement Award.
